I have a SCPH-1001/94000 that was made in 1997 (console and box serial numbers match), but uses the 1995 box (English/French text version). These are the US PS1 box variants I know of. In stock form, this is the Playstation 1 model that does not have the RCA connectors like Model SCPH-1001. I've never seen a SCPH-5501 in a gray box or with a Dual Shock included. Included is a Sony PS2 DVD IR remote for wireless control of the Playstation 1 for CD playback. Additional bottom item number: 3-966-398-7ДЇor this model the CD-ROM drive is re-located on the right side of the CD bay, with the lens carriage being reinforced and the power simplified, fixing the FMV skipping issues of prior models. I have a mint condition Sony Playstation 1 Model SCPH-5501.
